Motor Starter Autotransformers are crucial for the efficient and controlled starting of electric motors in various industrial applications. These autotransformers reduce the line voltage during the starting period, mitigating the high inrush currents and mechanical stress associated with motor startup. By offering three different voltage taps, they allow for a choice of starting currents and torques, tailored to specific load requirements.
Our medium-duty motor starters are designed to provide maximum starting acceleration and torque while addressing the major limitations of on-line starters—namely, high starting current and torque. These autotransformers ensure smooth and reliable motor startup, making them ideal for applications such as conveyor systems, pumps, compressors, and various types of machinery.
Motor starter autotransformers are offered as a Core & Coil assembly as standard, but can also be housed in an enclosure upon request to provide additional protection against environmental factors. Built to meet rigorous industry standards, our motor starter autotransformers combine simplicity and economy, delivering consistent and long-lasting performance. They are CSA certified and UL Recognized, ensuring they adhere to stringent quality and safety standards. Their robust construction and user-friendly design ensure easy installation and operation, even in demanding industrial environments.
